Discover its main highlights on your sightseeing tour today, including the 46-metre-high golden Sule Pagoda, the long reclining Buddha at Chaukhtatgyi Pagoda, and the fascinating National Museum. Also, visit Bogyoke Aung San Market, previously known as Scott Market, to browse some of its 2,000 stalls hawking all kinds of exotic handicrafts.

Day 4Yangon - Bagan

This morning, fly to Bagan, or the 'City of Four Thousand Pagodas' for it ancient temple ruins. Explore its celebrated temples, including the 11th century Schwezigon Pagoda, whose bell shape was replicated in virtually all of the country's later temples. Admire the mural-coated Gubyaukhyi Temple at Wetkyi-Inn, the gold-towered Ananda Pahto, where four gigantic standing Buddhas face north, east, south and west, the Manuha Temple, and the exquisite Shwesandaw Pagoda. Continue to a lacquerware workshop to see how this decorative art is created and watch an magical sunset from a pagoda terrace to end your memorable day.

Day 5Bagan - Mount Popa - Bagan

Today, travel through rural landscapes and hamlets to Mount Popa, a volcanic mountain topped by a monastery. Ascend the stairs to the top and absorb epic views over the countryside. Afterwards, return to Bagan and use the rest of the day to explore or relax as you please.

Day 6Bagan - Mandalay

Catch a flight to Mandalay and check in at your hotel for two nights. The hub of Myanmar's culture, this modern metropolis was the capital of the last independent Burmese kingdom. Get a flavour of its personality and architecture on an intriguing sightseeing tour. Visit the beautiful Mahamuni Pagoda, home to a revered, gold-leaf coated Buddha. You will also see the magnificent, teak monastery of Shwenandaw Kyaung and Kuthodaw Pagoda. Here, marvel at the 'world's largest book' - 729 marble slabs inscribed with miniscule texts. Later, climb up Mandalay Hill for stunning panoramas over the city and temple-dotted countryside.

Day 7Mandalay

Delve into Myanmar's rich history with visits to three former royal capitals. Start at atmospheric 18th-19th century Amarapura and time at its Mahagandayon Monastery, where monks and novices line up to receive daily alms. Next, visit Sagaing, to see some of its 600 legendary temples. From here, head to Inwa for a horsecart ride and time at the teakwood Monastery of Bagaya Kyaung, and other sacred sites. End your day back at Amarapura to enjoy the sunset from the iconic U Bein Bridge.

Day 8Mandalay - Heho - Pindaya

Today, fly to Heho and drive to Pindaya, known for its hill caves housing 8,000 or more Buddha images. Explore the main cavern to see the crowds of statues carved from everything from alabaster to cement. Continue to the Buddha-filled Shwe U Min Pagoda, built within a stunning cave, before calling at a local market and fascinating paper umbrella workshop.

Day 9Pindaya - Inle Lake

Leave Pindaya today for an overnight stay on the banks of Inle Lake. Cocooned in hills and dotted with the stilted villages of the Intha people, this beautiful expanse of water will entrance you with its timeless serenity. Enjoy a memorable boat ride, visiting its Floating Gardens, a bustling market and a village. Later, visit the Paung Daw Oo Pagoda and Inn Paw Khon Village, to see its lotus and silk-weaving workshops. Also, visit the stilted Monastery of Nga Phe Chaung, whose Buddhist monks have trained cats to jump through hoops.

Day 10Inle Lake - Heho - Yangon

Take a boat ride to a stairway at the edge of Inle Lake, which leads to the hidden ruins of Indein's ancient temples and pagodas. The site consists of hundreds of small moss-covered stupas in a jungle-like setting. Some stupas are in a crumbling, deteriorated state, yet ornate stucco carvings of mythical animals and celestial beings can still be seen on some parts. Depart Inle Lake and transfer to Heho where you board a flight back to Yangon. Transfer to the hotel upon arrival.

General Reservations Terms & Conditions

  1. A $100/person nonrefundable deposit is due within 7 days of tour confirmation. If the reservation date is less than 30days prior to the tour departure date, full payment is due at time of reservation. Deposits may be made by check or cash. Credit card deposits will incur a 4% service fee.

Cancellations: All cancellations must be by written notice via email, fax or post sent directly to Signature Travel & Tours. Cancellation fees apply. Please refer to each individual tour's terms and conditions for cancellation fee schedule.

Tour Fare Inclusions

  1. Transportation by air-conditioned motor-coach
  2. Hotel accommodations for trips lasting more than 1 day. Price is based on two adults sharing one room, double occupancy.
  3. Sightseeing excursions and entrance fees as specified in the itinerary. Exclusions may apply. Please refer to the individual tour's Terms and Conditions for inclusions and exclusions.
  4. Escorted tours are conducted in Mandarin and/or English by professional tour guides. Refer to each individual tour for language specifications.
  5. Meals are included only where indicated in the tour itinerary. All other meals are not included.

Tour Fare Exclusions

  1. Airfare is not included in any of the tour prices unless otherwise indicated or specified. It is the responsibility of the traveler to arrive at the starting point of the tour.
  2. Meals not indicated in the itinerary.
  3. Any optional tour or activity not indicated in the itinerary.
  4. Transportation fee to/from your home town to/from the airport.
  5. Gratuity for tour guides, drivers, bellman, maid, etc.

General Conditions and Responsibility

  1. Tour Cancellation: Signature Travel & Tours reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond its control. If cancellation is made any time prior to the departure of the tour, Signature Travel & Tours' only liability will be to refund to the passenger the amount it has received for the tour. Signature Travel & Tours will try to re-book the same or similar tour, subject to availability.
  2. Seat Rotation: All seat in coach tours will have seats rotated daily by the tour guide and particular seats cannot be booked.
  3. Itinerary variations: Signature Travel & Tours constantly strives to improve its tour itineraries and features. If such improvements can be made or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary, we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute hotels.
  4. Passport & Visas: Please ensure you have the proper documents for travel and to verify with the consulate of the country you are traveling to prior to your trip.
  5. Signature Travel & Tours reserves the right to decline, to accept or retain any person as a tour participant should such person's mental or physical health impede the operation of the tour or the rights of other tour participants.
  6. Our tour guides are not professionally trained in supplementing first aid or assisting with the disabled. Signature Travel & Tours is not in the position of providing any kind of special attention to clients with special needs. Should someone with special needs wish to join a tour, they must provide for their own care-taker.
  7. It is strongly recommended that infants under two years old join in any long distance tours.
  8. By participating in this tour, you agree to the terms and conditions set forth by Signature Travel & Tours and may not be altered.
Passports & Visas It is the responsibility of the Traveler to have a valid passport, with a validity of at least six (6) months after your tour end date. Your travel consultant or Signature Travel & Tours can assist you in obtaining the necessary application forms to obtain your passport. Non-US citizens must consult with the appropriate consulates to determine if any additional visas are required. It is suggested that all travelers, regardless of the passport they hold, check with the appropriate consulates of the countries being visited to determine if any visas are required. Should you wish for Signature Travel & Tours to process your China visa, the fee is $170USD for a one year, multiple entry visa for US citizens, valid from the issue date and good for a stay of up to 30 days in China per visit. The processing time is 10 working days. You must submit your original passport, one (2x2) color photo with a white background, and a completed China visa application to our office. The visa fee is non-refundable for any reason and is subject to change without prior notice. If you require expedited return service, please enclose an additional $25 to your total deposit and it will be sent back immediately upon return from the consulate. If you are applying for your own China visa, a copy of your passport should be sent to Signature Travel & Tours along with a copy of your China visa. All documents and air tickets will be issued under your passport name. Signature Travel & Tours is not responsible should you be denied a visa or entrance for any reason into a foreign country, regardless if you have a valid passport and visa, in which case, the visa fee and land reservations will not be refunded.
