Day 3Beijing

Ancient and modern jostle for position in China's fascinating capital in the shape of ornate teahouses, colossal Mao-era monuments, busy backstreets and imposing palaces. Today, witness the principal landmarks, including infamous Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City, a walled complex of palaces, halls and gardens that kept the Ming and Qing emperors closed from the outside world. Admire the Summer Palace, whose exquisite gardens circle shining Kunming Lake, and stop for photos at two of Beijing's 2008 Olympic stadiums the Bird's Nest and Water Cube Aquatic Centre.

Day 4Beijing

See China's countryside en-route to the Great Wall this morning. When you arrive, explore a section of this mighty edifice, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Built to protect China from Mongol invaders, it runs for 5,500 miles across northern China. From here, head for the Sacred Way, a curving road skirted with extraordinary marble statues of animals and humans, and once believed to be the route to heaven for China's dead emperors.

Continue cruising this morning before leaving your ship to visit the stunning Shibaozhai temple, a 12-storey wooden pagoda built during the Qing dynasty of the 18th century. Day 10Yangtze River Cruise - Chongqing - Xi'an

Day 11Xi'an

Dubbed the 'Eternal City', Xi'an houses China's greatest archaeological treasure: the Terracotta Warriors. Unearthed by local farmers in 1974, the silent ranks of these clay-carved number around 6,000 and still stand in the pits they were buried in to guard China's first emperor in the afterlife. Inspect the individual features of the figures, each carved to represent one of the living individuals of the long-ago imperial guard. Later, see Xi'an's Big Wild Goose Pagoda and savor an Imperial Dumpling banquet and Tang Dynasty show tonight.

Soak up Guilin's exquisite landscapes as you sail the Li River past lush rice fields, conical-shaped karsts and waters speckled with bamboo fishing rafts some with fishermen who use cormorants to hunt for their catches. After lunch on board, disembark at picturesque Yangshuo and visit its quaint West Street . Board our motor coach as it takes us back to Guilin.

Reservations:
  1. A $100/person nonrefundable deposit is due within 7 days of tour confirmation. If the reservation date is less than 30days prior to the tour departure date, full payment is due at time of reservation. Deposits may be made by check or cash. Credit card deposits will incur a 4% service fee.

Cancellations: All cancellations must be by written notice via email, fax or post sent directly to Signature Travel & Tours. Cancellation fees apply. Please refer to each individual tour's terms and conditions for cancellation fee schedule.

Tour Fare Inclusions

  1. Transportation by air-conditioned motor-coach
  2. Hotel accommodations for trips lasting more than 1 day. Price is based on two adults sharing one room, double occupancy.
  3. Sightseeing excursions and entrance fees as specified in the itinerary. Exclusions may apply. Please refer to the individual tour's Terms and Conditions for inclusions and exclusions.
  4. Escorted tours are conducted in Mandarin and/or English by professional tour guides. Refer to each individual tour for language specifications.
  5. Meals are included only where indicated in the tour itinerary. All other meals are not included.

Tour Fare Exclusions

  1. Airfare is not included in any of the tour prices unless otherwise indicated or specified. It is the responsibility of the traveler to arrive at the starting point of the tour.
  2. Meals not indicated in the itinerary.
  3. Any optional tour or activity not indicated in the itinerary.
  4. Transportation fee to/from your home town to/from the airport.
  5. Gratuity for tour guides, drivers, bellman, maid, etc.

General Conditions and Responsibility

  1. Tour Cancellation: Signature Travel & Tours reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond its control. If cancellation is made any time prior to the departure of the tour, Signature Travel & Tours' only liability will be to refund to the passenger the amount it has received for the tour. Signature Travel & Tours will try to re-book the same or similar tour, subject to availability.
  2. Seat Rotation: All seat in coach tours will have seats rotated daily by the tour guide and particular seats cannot be booked.
  3. Itinerary variations: Signature Travel & Tours constantly strives to improve its tour itineraries and features. If such improvements can be made or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary, we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute hotels.
  4. Passport & Visas: Please ensure you have the proper documents for travel and to verify with the consulate of the country you are traveling to prior to your trip.
  5. Signature Travel & Tours reserves the right to decline, to accept or retain any person as a tour participant should such person's mental or physical health impede the operation of the tour or the rights of other tour participants.
  6. Our tour guides are not professionally trained in supplementing first aid or assisting with the disabled. Signature Travel & Tours is not in the position of providing any kind of special attention to clients with special needs. Should someone with special needs wish to join a tour, they must provide for their own care-taker.
  7. It is strongly recommended that infants under two years old join in any long distance tours.
  8. By participating in this tour, you agree to the terms and conditions set forth by Signature Travel & Tours and may not be altered.
Passports & Visas It is the responsibility of the Traveler to have a valid passport, with a validity of at least six (6) months after your tour end date. Your travel consultant or Signature Travel & Tours can assist you in obtaining the necessary application forms to obtain your passport. Non-US citizens must consult with the appropriate consulates to determine if any additional visas are required. It is suggested that all travelers, regardless of the passport they hold, check with the appropriate consulates of the countries being visited to determine if any visas are required. Should you wish for Signature Travel & Tours to process your China visa, the fee is $170USD for a one year, multiple entry visa for US citizens, valid from the issue date and good for a stay of up to 30 days in China per visit. The processing time is 10 working days. You must submit your original passport, one (2x2) color photo with a white background, and a completed China visa application to our office. The visa fee is non-refundable for any reason and is subject to change without prior notice. If you require expedited return service, please enclose an additional $25 to your total deposit and it will be sent back immediately upon return from the consulate. If you are applying for your own China visa, a copy of your passport should be sent to Signature Travel & Tours along with a copy of your China visa. All documents and air tickets will be issued under your passport name. Signature Travel & Tours is not responsible should you be denied a visa or entrance for any reason into a foreign country, regardless if you have a valid passport and visa, in which case, the visa fee and land reservations will not be refunded.
